No matter what time of year you visit the island of Hawaii, you'll
always find a vast array of exciting products to sample. These agricultural
businesses, both large and small, along with family-run operations
invite you to share in the bounty of the Big Island. Always call
ahead to check on hours of operations, and it's a good idea
to schedule an appointment. You may be traveling off the beaten
path, so be patient and allow for plenty of time. If you find yourself
at the wrong door, please treat neighbors kindly.
This map is dedicated to Hawaii Island's ranchers, farmers,
agricultural practitioners and supporters. For additional information
on Kona-specific agricultural tourism operations that may not be
listed here, created by Professor and Extension Agribusiness Specialist
Dr. Kent Fleming from University of Hawaii-Manoa, Kona Spring
Blossom Festival Chair Ken Love and Cartographer MaryAnne B. Maigret
of Kona Cartographics.
Hawaii Island Economic Development Board and the County of Hawaii
are not responsible for road conditions, access restraints or hours
of operation. Many businesses require advance reservations.
